Anne Marie Couch, RN

Clinical Appointment: Practice Coordinator, MTMC Bariatric Services

Assists and educates patients and potential patients through the process to have bariatric surgery, and continues to follow patients post-operatively. This includes pre-op classes, support groups, and arranging activities to help patients continue and maintain weight loss and program compliance.

Experience: Registered Nurse for more than 30 years, with many years of operating room nursing and management experience in addition to opening two ambulatory surgery centers.

When Bariatric services were established at MTMC in 2005, Anne Marie oversaw the staff education and special equipment for this population.

Education: Nursing Degree from East Tennessee State University

Certifications: Nationally certified for 25 years as a Certified Nurse Operating Room, Past President and current Board member of the Association of Operating Room Nurses for Middle Tennessee
